Gemini 3.1 Flash Image supports hosted image generation, multi-turn editing and revisions guided by several reference images. Flexible resolutions and search grounding make it worth considering for permitted game assets, but Google now recommends Nano Banana 2.1 for new projects. Its S tier covers permitted asset work. Compare this model with the Pro image model on difficult poses and outfit continuity before choosing it for a character pipeline. Check identity and transparency at export, and keep the exact API model ID, references and prompt revisions in the production record. Generated images carry SynthID; Google’s policy restricts sexually explicit material.
