# MiniMax Hailuo 2.3 family

Short stylized character shots and existing animation pipelines

- **Availability**: legacy
- **Where it runs**: hosted
- **Costs**: MiniMax API access uses per-clip charges or prepaid video points, with prices varying by variant, duration and resolution. The four standard video packages expire after one month. Check Hailuo app plans or third-party billing separately, and budget for completed clips you cannot use.
- **Adult content policy**: restricted

Keep Hailuo 2.3 in consideration when its short, stylized character shots already suit your game's art direction. MiniMax emphasizes body movement, subtle facial expressions and anime, illustration or game-CG looks, making this family a sensible candidate for animating character artwork. Check identity drift and loop seams before approving a clip. Compare Standard and Fast separately: the cheaper Fast API route takes a source image. A move to H3 should earn its place through usable shots. Keep source images and sound editable, and account for the official hosted services' pornography restrictions before planning adult assets.

## Commercial use & license

Proprietary hosted model governed by the selected service's terms and plan. This release establishes no downloadable weight license; H3's separate license does not establish rights for Hailuo 2.3. Check the output-use conditions before including generated clips in a release.

## Adult content rules

Hailuo AI's terms prohibit obscene or indecent material and promotion of sexually explicit or pornographic content. MiniMax Open Platform terms prohibit creating or disseminating obscene or pornographic content. Permission for a specific non-explicit adult-game asset is unconfirmed; check the selected service's rules.

## What you need

MiniMax API access requires an account, API key and funded balance or video package. Standard supports text-to-video and image-to-video; Fast is listed for image-to-video. Both support 6 or 10 seconds at 768p, or 6 seconds at 1080p. Confirm that your chosen provider still offers the specific route.

Ranks are recommendations for the task described, based on reviewed documentation. Model ranks cover non-explicit development work. We have not run practical benchmarks. Check content policies and commercial terms separately. [How the ranks work](https://bestadultgames.io/en/developers/methodology.md)

## Why consider it

- Stylized motion for anime, illustration and game-CG artwork
- Emphasis on body movement and subtle facial expressions
- Lower-cost Fast route for image-to-video drafts

## Tradeoffs to plan for

- Short clips: up to 10 seconds at 768p or 6 seconds at 1080p
- No downloadable weights or local-use license established by the release
- Official service terms rule out pornographic content

The tier reflects documented fit for the workflow described here and availability. No numeric score or hands-on performance results are provided.
