# Ideogram 4.5

Masked corrections and directed revisions to permitted game artwork.

- **Availability**: available
- **Where it runs**: hosted
- **Costs**: Metered API charges use credits: sufficient subscription credits cover a request; otherwise, prepaid API balance is used. Quality affects price; a dry run returns a quote.
- **Adult content policy**: restricted

Ideogram 4.5 is worth comparing for targeted corrections to existing artwork. Its precise-edit API accepts a source image, optional references and an optional mask, and documents exact copying of pixels it leaves unchanged. Oversized sources may be downscaled, so check output dimensions and untouched regions before committing to a batch. Keep typography editable outside the raster image, and save results because API image links expire. Hosted policies restrict pornographic and other objectionable content, including submitted references. The open-weight release of Ideogram 4.0 does not establish a local 4.5 license.

## Commercial use & license

Hosted Ideogram service and API terms apply. The reviewed 4.5 endpoint documentation does not establish a license for local weights.

## Adult content rules

Ideogram service and API policies restrict pornographic and other objectionable content, including uploaded images and references.

[Read the policy](https://ideogram.ai/legal/usage-policy/)

## What you need

API key, payment method and usable credits in an Ideogram account. Follow source-image limits and keep rights to submitted references documented.

Ranks are recommendations for the task described, based on reviewed documentation. Model ranks cover non-explicit development work. We have not run practical benchmarks. Check content policies and commercial terms separately. [How the ranks work](https://bestadultgames.io/en/developers/methodology.md)

## Why consider it

- Dedicated precise-edit API.
- Optional masks and reference images for directed revisions.
- Documented copying of unchanged pixels, with size caveats.

## Tradeoffs to plan for

- A local 4.5 weight license is not established by the reviewed sources.
- Oversized sources can be downscaled, complicating pixel preservation.
- Hosted policies restrict pornographic and other objectionable content.

The tier reflects documented fit for the workflow described here and availability. No numeric score or hands-on performance results are provided.
