# Midjourney V8.2

Midjourney V8.2 suits the stage where you are finding a game’s look: moodboards, backgrounds and permitted promotional concepts. Choose it when visual exploration matters more than exact asset structure, and keep approved reference sheets and manually finished assets in your project files. V8.2 is the default version, and its Edit Model replaces Omni Reference, Character Reference and Retexture. Older reference tutorials need a version check before you build a workflow around them. Cost, visibility and commercial use depend on the plan and service terms. Midjourney prohibits adult content and sexualized imagery, so its role in an adult game’s pipeline is limited to SFW artwork.
