# Rodin Gen-2 and Gen-1/1.5

Continuing an established Hyper3D asset workflow

Rodin's older families are worth keeping in a pipeline that already has approved assets and a known generation recipe. Hyper3D documents Gen-2 and Gen-1/1.5 separately, with text- and image-to-3D inputs and exports such as GLB and FBX. The catch is easy to miss: omit the tier on a Gen-2 request and the API falls back to Regular, producing a Gen-1/1.5 asset. Select the family explicitly before comparing results. For a new project, try the same reference with the current family and judge the mesh after material correction and cleanup. Existing settings can help maintain visual continuity; they do not guarantee an identical rerun or animation-ready geometry.

Proprietary hosted models. Private and commercial export rights depend on the plan and applicable terms; output permission does not clear rights in your reference images or other third-party material.

## Adult content rules

Hyper3D's terms class pornographic prompts as inappropriate and allow content removal or account suspension. This recommendation covers permitted non-explicit asset work.

## What you need

Hosted Hyper3D API access with bearer authentication. Save the explicit generation tier, inputs, seed and output settings for accepted jobs.

## Tradeoffs to plan for

- Generation-specific settings complicate moving recipes between families
- Omitting the tier can silently select Gen-1/1.5
- Mesh quality and character deformation still need checking
