A woman with amnesia turns up at your door in ragged clothes. You take her in, give her a name and build a life together as pieces of her past return. Your salaryman routine sets the pace: earn money, spend time with her, improve the house and unlock activities. For a game with so much readily available sex, Her New Memory asks for a surprising amount of overtime.
Living with the same woman gives ordinary gestures a chance to matter. A dress, a walk or an evening watching something together belongs to the same relationship as the explicit encounters, so familiarity can become part of the attraction. The rescue premise complicates that comfort: she initially depends heavily on you for her identity and home, and the writing does too little with the imbalance.
An eager girlfriend, an uneasy beginning

The heroine's cheerful expressions, prominent boobs and changing wardrobe sell an accommodating domestic fantasy. Her mood affects her responses, while affectionate conversations reveal her family history. Outings, employment and eventually a wedding give the relationship a future beyond the next sex scene. Those accumulating moments can make the household worth coming back to.
The rush into sex is harder to believe. Her eagerness arrives before much personal trust has developed, despite the rescue premise and her missing memories. Her willingness to accommodate the protagonist can make her feel like a convenient girlfriend assembled to order. Giving her a history helps, but everyday dialogue still lacks independent opinions and convincing friction. The chemistry needs more of her own wants, and more emotional development than a rising relationship number can supply.
Dress her to taste

Customization gives the fantasy much of its staying power. Clothes, underwear, hairstyles, colors and makeup let you keep reinventing the look of the woman sharing your home. Office wear, casual dresses and cosplay put familiar attraction in different contexts, and some purchases unlock conversations or encounters. The wardrobe offers plenty of room to express your taste. Her personality offers far less.
The base game's sex takes the couple through home, work and outings, with later domestic milestones creating more situations. Onscreen controls, progress gauges and applicable clothing or toy options let you make adjustments during encounters; timing adds a little play. Limited animation holds it back. Much of the artwork stays static while movements repeat, so a new setting can still bring the same mechanical routine. The nudity is plentiful, but lasting variety depends heavily on your attraction to this woman and the illustrated style.
The paycheck between you and the next scene

Your daily choices balance income, energy and your girlfriend's mood. Overtime brings expensive purchases closer and leaves less time for companionship; neglect can harm the relationship. Cards, arcade games, cooking and outings give you ways to spend time together. That tension can serve the fantasy when earning for the house and caring for her feel like parts of a life you're building.
Too often, the balance becomes a grind. A new house, clothes and equipment eat through savings, while mood maintenance and another paycheck settle into a repeated sequence of clicks. Difficulty options can ease the income pressure without making the routine richer. Employment and moving house make sense as milestones for new encounters. Particular outfit and event requirements are harder to read, turning anticipation into a hunt for the missing trigger. Another working week is a weak substitute for romantic buildup.
Cute art, flat exchanges

The colorful heroine, cosmetic options and changing furniture make the home feel inhabited. Recurring rooms and outfits reinforce the pleasure of familiar company. The music can suit the relaxed routine, although its limited rotation becomes noticeable during long stretches of earning and shopping. Scene art is less dependable: inconsistent anatomy and sparse animation keep the sex from looking as polished as the range of customization suggests.
The story finds warmth in tender events and returning memories, then undercuts it with flat conversations or the protagonist's possessive protectiveness. Its pacing suffers from weak signposting, too. High affection and enough money do not guarantee that the next event will appear: one missing prerequisite can strand the couple in their daily routine. A guide may identify the sticking point, but romance loses some spontaneity when it needs troubleshooting.
The base romance and the paid basement
At the October 2026 check, the US Steam base game had a regular price of $9.99 and a sale price of $1.99. It includes explicit interactive sex without a separate adult patch. The $4.99 BDSM DLC adds a basement, dominant and submissive roles, themed clothing and equipment, pain-related mechanics and additional story. It also adds anal options to existing encounters. The extra charge buys kink content for an already explicit game.
The basement still has to be unlocked through relationship progress and purchases inside the simulation. Owning the DLC does not spare you the daily loop. The base romance already reaches a wedding, and its value lies in enjoying one customizable partner and the habits of living together. Paying for kink will not make the heroine more independent or the event requirements clearer. The separate itch.io offer advertises additional platforms under different access terms.
Verdict

Her New Memory makes a decent budget girlfriend fantasy, especially on sale. One familiar partner, plenty of explicit sex and small domestic pleasures give it warmth, while the scene controls add some involvement and a wedding gives the relationship somewhere to go. Reaching later encounters is much less appealing. Repeated overtime, obscure triggers and shopping requirements blunt desire; rushed trust, a compliant heroine and uneven art leave the chemistry thin. The game gives you more satisfying control over her wardrobe than over the relationship. The paid BDSM DLC adds kink without solving those underlying weaknesses.
What works
- +Extensive appearance and wardrobe customization for one recurring partner
- +Explicit interactive sex included across home, work and outing settings
- +Affectionate events and a wedding give the household romance a destination
Drawbacks
- −Repeated income grinding and obscure event requirements spoil the buildup
- −Rushed trust, a compliant heroine and uneven scene art weaken the chemistry
Questions before you play
Does the Steam base game include explicit sex without an adult patch?
Yes. Explicit interactive sex and nudity are included in the paid main game, with encounters unlocked through relationship progress, purchases and events. No external uncensoring patch is required. The BDSM DLC adds specific kink content to a base game that is already explicit.
Does customization let me date several different women?
The main romance follows one woman whose name, hairstyle, colors, makeup and wardrobe you can customize. Relatives and other supporting characters contribute events and backstory; they are not alternative romance routes. You have much more freedom to change the heroine's appearance than her underlying personality.
What can I control during sex scenes?
Scenes have onscreen controls and a climax gauge, plus options for applicable clothing and sex toys. Some encounters involve timing, so there is more to do than advance text. Animation is limited: expect adjustments within recurring illustrated scenes rather than a fully animated physical simulation.
Why can story or sex progression stall despite high affection?
An event may also require a particular outfit to be worn, an earlier encounter, employment, a location visit or a house upgrade. Affection alone will not unlock everything, and the cues can be unclear. Players have also reported progression problems. Keep spare saves and check the relevant event's requirements; easier difficulty reduces income pressure without removing every prerequisite or guaranteeing a fix.
What does the BDSM DLC cost and add?
At the October 2026 check, the DLC's regular US Steam price was $4.99, separate from the $9.99 base game. It adds a basement, dominant and submissive roles, themed gear, pain mechanics, extra story and anal options for existing encounters. It requires the base game and relationship progress; buying it does not immediately unlock all its scenes.
Is the game complete, and does Steam include the phone or Mac versions?
The main game left early access in February 2022 and reaches a wedding. At the October 2026 check, Steam listed Windows only. The separate $9.99 itch.io offer advertised Windows, macOS, Linux and Android and included a Steam key. Android BDSM DLC was not listed as delivered at that check; the announced 1.1 update is outside this assessment.
