Anna starts a Starmaker page after a crisis at work, and you become her photographer, career manager and intimate companion. The fantasy has an appealing practical side: improve her photos, find outfits, grow an audience and decide where the relationship goes. Big boobs are prominent, but Anna’s growing confidence gives the fantasy a more lasting hook.
Peak City surrounds her with partners, errands, secrets and minigames. There is pleasure in finding another encounter or giving a side activity your attention. The trouble is how often a promising evening turns into schedule management. Starmaker Story has enough material to make its free public release worth trying, and enough busywork to make you wish someone had trimmed the itinerary.
Anna’s career gives the intimacy a purpose

Photo quality depends on Anna’s mood, which gifts and shared events can improve. Wardrobe changes help attract fans, so paying attention to her everyday life has a visible result in her career. A new outfit is both a reason to enjoy another picture and a way to move forward. Nudity fits into a relationship you help develop.
Affectionate and more sexually adventurous paths give that relationship different shapes. Exclusivity and sharing routes also matter: another man’s involvement changes the fantasy, and the game lets you decide whether that is welcome. Choices can open or close content. Pursuing a particular arrangement can therefore leave other material out of reach.
Anna’s early heart progression benefits from regular contact, with photos and encounters building on an ongoing relationship. Later partners and districts can feel thinner: an arresting introduction does not always lead to much development. The added women need the sustained attention that makes Anna interesting.
The sex is in the stills
The sex scenes are mainly illustrated CGs with text. A strong still can feel rewarding after an encounter you have worked towards, but there is little of the motion or performance that makes animated sex immediate. Menu animation does not change the format of the scenes. The appeal rests on the pictures and the anticipation built around them.
Pixel-styled art and exaggerated boobs give the game a recognizable look. Graphics and sound are disclosed as AI assisted, and development has brought extensive image reworks and changing character designs. That inconsistency can weaken attachment to the cast. Consistent faces and expressive characters would do more for the intimacy than a larger pile of pictures.
Different relationships, missed events and alternative directions for Anna give you reasons to return. Scene skipping and the option to jump towards Friday help with familiar days and routines. These are useful conveniences in a game organized around a calendar, though another route still takes time to reach its rewards.
Peak City keeps adding to the itinerary

Photography, quests and skill investment keep you involved in progression, with outfits and gear providing clear goals. Tower defence, motorbike races and a tabletop-style adventure compete for your time. The tabletop game gives befriended characters different party roles, a particularly good use of the cast: getting to know someone can pay off beyond the next sex scene.
The activities vary in quality. A minigame with worthwhile decisions is a diversion you might choose for its own sake; a shallow one is another toll booth on the way to a picture. Subscriber growth, calendar events and character prerequisites also demand attention. Unclear conditions turn exploration into guessing which appointment the script needs you to keep.
Release updates have improved the quest log, saves, travel and progression, but repetition still drags. Route-specific events can make a change of heart costly in time when you want a different relationship outcome. Anna’s development gives the daily routines a purpose. The weaker systems ask for similar effort without offering a comparable reward.
A substantial free release with work still ahead
The reviewed release is the free English Windows 1.8E download on itch.io, with explicit content included. Donations support development and are optional. The cost of trying Anna’s career fantasy is mostly your time: learning schedules, tracking prerequisites and working through branches. There is already a substantial game here, provided those routines do not put you off.
The game remains in development. As of October 2026, version 1.9’s image overhaul, endings system and expanded activities are announced work, and the separate Steam release is forthcoming. The planned additions may broaden it further, but 1.8E’s appeal remains Anna’s progression and the city already available.
Verdict

Anna makes Starmaker Story worth trying. Photography, outfits and regular contact turn her porn career into a relationship you can shape, with exclusivity and sharing choices that support distinct fantasies. The city’s weaker partners, opaque prerequisites and repeated chores do far less to hold your attention. Still-image scenes also limit the payoff for anyone drawn by animated sex. The free release is a satisfying way to follow Anna’s growing confidence, provided you have patience for its routines. Developing her relationships deserves priority over adding another district.
