A treasure map sends the protagonist back to his hometown, where familiar faces soon become sexual prospects. Takane's absent husband lends an edge to the domestic fantasy; Asami and Mio offer the familiarity of connections to your past. Warmth and attractive character art make the homecoming inviting.
Then courtship settles into a routine: raise affection, finish an errand, unlock a scene. Inari is good at making that scene look lovely. It is less convincing about why these women want you, or why picking up one more chore should count as seduction.
Three romances, four side encounters

The main trio offers clear, distinct fantasies. Takane is a married mother living with her daughter while her husband works abroad. Cheerful Asami is on university leave; reserved Mio is a childhood friend working at the hotel. Takane brings adultery, Asami breezy flirtation and Mio a gentler intimacy. Mio has the most warmth, but all three struggle to grow beyond those starting roles.
Garden worker Ando, hotel owner Sayaka, lifeguard Julia and shrine guardian Rin widen the cast and the range of settings. Sayaka's submissive streak and Rin's supernatural mischief give their encounters different flavors. These women mostly function as quest rewards, with little room for a relationship to develop. You can court several main women, though the ending settles on one relationship. All that overlapping desire ought to create some tension; Inari largely lets it pass.
Lovely scenes, little to do

The illustrated sex supplies Inari's strongest reward. Attractive faces, appealing boobs, varied outfits and Live2D movement give the women a presence the dialogue struggles to match. Comic-panel framing and animated little sprites add charm around the larger scene art. Japanese voices bring heat to the sex, although ordinary dialogue is not comprehensively voiced. Some distinctly unsexy sentences still get between the animation and the mood.
Free H lets you revisit unlocked scenes and select poses. A main heroine's replay access opens after she becomes your lover; for a side heroine, you must see all her sex scenes and then speak to her. Bikinis and yukata give the art a welcome change of wardrobe. Most of the pleasure comes from watching, with little direct interaction, and familiar animation loops lose their appeal through repetition. The menu makes returning convenient, but the encounters offer little mechanical involvement.
Courtship by chore list

Hotel jobs, housework, gifts, fishing, cooking and gathering turn romance into a daily schedule. Earning money and helping a woman can make the eventual intimacy feel earned. Here, too many tasks amount to very easy matching, dragging and clicking. Repetition keeps progress moving without demanding much thought, while action points and event gates control when a relationship can move forward. Seduction starts to resemble clearing a to-do list.
Side encounters have their own sequential day and location conditions, adding waits to the work. Cheat Mode raises money and affection gains and provides a generous starting purse, at the cost of some achievements. Affection inheritance and scenario autoplay also take the sting out of repeat runs. Those conveniences help when you want to reach the next sex scene, but they cannot supply the meaningful choices missing from the routine.
When the words kill the mood

Rough English does particular damage to flirtation. Awkward phrasing, repeated dialogue and slow transitions interrupt scenes that need momentum. A lovely face and an appealing voice can only do so much when the words keep breaking the mood. The treasure plot fares poorly too, with weak explanations and threads that simply disappear. Inari reaches an ending, but its romances and treasure hunt never fit together convincingly.
The cozy homecoming also includes harsher sexual material. Adultery is central to Takane's relationship, some branches involve BDSM, and Inari contains non-consensual sex. Julia's coercive material and drug-mediated encounters clash with the affectionate dating fantasy. You can decline some optional branches, but those prompts do not make the remaining encounters universally consensual. The darker scenes need characterization and narrative care; Inari too often rushes to sex before it has built believable chemistry.
What the finished Steam game includes

The paid Steam release has a finished treasure story and separate endings for Takane, Asami and Mio. Later updates added replay conveniences and Free H for the side heroines. Those four women add partners and settings, but they do not bring four more full romantic endings. The range is respectable; uneven development and repeated animation make it feel smaller than the roster suggests.
At its October 2026 regular US Steam price of $14.99, the attractive art and included explicit content make a respectable offer. The Windows Steam package provides uncensored or mosaic presentation, with no separate adult patch or paid sex unlock identified. Rebirth Pub is a separate game, and possible heroine DLC adds nothing to this package. The cash commitment is modest. The chores demand considerably more patience.
Verdict
Inari makes a decent illustrated sex collection for fans of married-mother and old-friend fantasies. The animated art and Japanese sexual audio do most of the seducing, and the replay options make returning to those scenes convenient. As a dating game, it is much harder to recommend. Trivial chores keep interrupting the reward, rough English spoils flirtation, and weak characterization cannot carry the coercive material. The complete Steam package offers a respectable amount of content for its modest price. Its best scenes deserve the attention; the romance and daily routine will test your patience.

Questions before you play
Does the Steam version include uncensored sex without an adult patch?
The reviewed Steam package includes explicit sex and a choice of uncensored or mosaic presentation. No separate adult patch, paid sex unlock or DLC was identified. Other-store and regional versions may differ.
Is Inari finished, and which version does this review cover?
Inari left Early Access in September 2024 with a finished main story and three main heroine endings. This review covers the Windows Steam base through update 1.5.12, released in November 2024, the latest Inari content update identified as of October 2026. Rebirth Pub is a separate game.
Which women have full romance endings?
Takane, Asami and Mio each have a main ending. Takane is a married mother, Asami is on university leave, and Mio works at a hotel. Ando, Sayaka, Julia and Rin have side encounters rather than four more main romance endings.
How do you unlock Free H and replay sex scenes?
A main heroine's Free H opens once she becomes your lover. For a side heroine, see all her sex scenes and then speak to her. Update 1.5.12 also adds side-heroine selection to the gallery. Free H lets you select unlocked scenes and poses; interaction within them is limited.
Can you reduce the chores and affection grind?
Cheat Mode gives you 1.5 times the money and affection gains and starts you with 100,000 in-game yen. It also makes some achievements unattainable. Later updates added affection inheritance for a new game and scenario autoplay. Event and location gates still control progression.
Does Inari include adultery or non-consensual sex?
Yes. Takane's relationship involves adultery, some branches include BDSM, and the game contains non-consensual sex. Some optional branches offer an accept-or-decline prompt. That lets the player avoid some material; it does not mean every encounter depicts consensual sex.
