The fantasy is being wanted while learning how to want someone back. The protagonist attracts attention, but desire repeatedly runs into grief, anxiety and his inability to move forward. That can give a kiss real weight. It can also leave an attractive cast waiting around while he explains, or someone else explains for him, why closeness is difficult.
This is a complete first season of a continuing story. It offers company, attachment and teasing, then leaves major questions open. Its appeal depends on how much pleasure you find in that courtship before the relationships reach a settled destination.
Desire kept waiting

Season 1 is a poor purchase for quick porn. There are no explicit sex scenes to unlock or sexual animation controls to use, and the right choices will not produce a completed bedroom payoff. Attraction comes through partial nudity, revealing clothes, suggestive framing, kissing and conversations about desire. Nami's topless lake scene is included following its post-launch restoration. Boobs are part of the view; sex remains beyond this season's scope.
The teasing works when the camera and writing keep attraction alive between the bigger dramatic moments. Watching someone become comfortable around the protagonist can be satisfying in itself, particularly when a small gesture changes the tone of an encounter. Repeated interruptions weaken that effect. The season spends a substantial stretch building desire without giving it either sexual release or a settled romantic destination, so its restraint needs chemistry to carry it.
Bella makes the waiting matter

Bella provides the strongest reason to stay. Her privileged background and difficult manner create early friction, then shared vulnerability gives the relationship substance. Barbed conversations gradually make room for attention and tenderness as the two recognize each other's damage. The attraction gains force from that change: intimacy feels earned through a developing bond, rather than awarded for keeping an affection meter full.
Nami brings mischievous familiarity, along with the complications of having grown up alongside the protagonist and being described through familial language. Victoria's warmth and Mila's friendliness offer gentler attractions, although Bella receives the more convincing development. The wider cast is appealing, but the season distributes its attention unevenly. Several women get tantalizing introductions while the protagonist's apparent emotional investment runs ahead of what their brief encounters have earned.
A date can cost you another date

Interaction comes through dialogue choices and decisions about whom to spend time with. Agreeing to a date can affect another relationship before anyone has discussed exclusivity: Victoria and Mila provide a particularly frustrating example of one opportunity interfering with the other. That gives attraction consequences, but an innocent-looking answer can carry more commitment than its wording suggests. Separate saves help when you want to explore competing interests.
There is no daily work loop or resource grind between you and the romance. Exploring branches instead means reading and rereading shared material for different conversations. Consequences can be hard to anticipate, and the season cannot yet deliver on all the long-term significance attached to its choices. An extended tabletop fantasy detour further stretches the wait. It is an elaborate break with limited interaction, arriving when the central relationships already need more attention.
The pictures seduce; the script fumbles

Lighting, close framing and expressive faces give the still renders unusual sensual force. Small looks and changes in posture sell attraction before anyone says anything explicit. Cinematic movement and animated moments add polish, though the motion can look stiff beside the stronger still images. Exaggerated breasts, hips and styling keep the women firmly within an idealized adult-game aesthetic, even when the story reaches for grounded emotional drama.
Music gives vulnerable encounters room to breathe and joins romantic anticipation to melancholy. Repeated tracks can become intrusive, especially when lyrics spell out an emotion the dialogue has already explained. The English script needs a firmer edit: awkward phrasing, abrupt transitions and strangers repeatedly diagnosing the protagonist weaken immersion. Grief explains his guarded behavior, but it does not make every rude exchange compelling. The chemistry is strongest when characters share a specific moment and let it speak for them.
What the first season buys you

At the October 2026 check, the regular US Steam price was $14.99. That is a defensible price for a substantial romance novel with this visual ambition. The value is weaker if you want completed relationships, a resolved central mystery or explicit sex within the purchase. Season 1 finishes its available material while leaving the wider story and several personal arcs open. Its ending is better at creating anticipation than providing closure.
Optional purchases do not fill those gaps. At the same October 2026 check, The Book Club DLC cost $4.99 and the Dr. ATMO soundtrack $1.99 at their regular US Steam prices. The Book Club supplies noncanon 4K wallpapers, including full nudity, with no playable romance or sex scenes; Dr. ATMO is a separate music extra. Season 2 is another package, and Where it all Began is a separate story in the same universe. Steam lists Windows, macOS and Linux, with English, Spanish and Russian text.
Verdict
Choose Summer's Gone - Season 1 for Bella's gradual chemistry, lingering desire and gorgeous scene staging. Those pleasures make its romantic restraint worthwhile, even with no explicit sex or full romantic closure. The writing is less assured: awkward dialogue, overlong detours and unexpectedly binding early choices repeatedly strain the courtship. It is a worthwhile romance for readers who can enjoy anticipation on its own terms, but it falls below the genre's best relationship writing. Future sexual payoff is a poor reason to buy it. The first season has to hold your attention through the intimacy it delivers now.

Questions before you play
Does Season 1 include explicit sex scenes?
No. It includes partial nudity, kissing, teasing and sexual themes. Nami's topless lake scene was restored in the May 2024 update, but the season has no explicit sex scenes.
Is Season 1 a complete story?
The first-season package is complete and is not Early Access. The wider narrative, central mystery and several relationships remain unresolved, with the story continuing in separate seasons.
Can an early choice close off another romance?
Yes. Dating decisions affect later opportunities; agreeing to Victoria's date can interfere with Mila's. Keep separate saves to explore different relationship paths.
Do the paid DLC packs unlock playable sex?
No. The Book Club contains noncanon 4K wallpapers, including full nudity, and Dr. ATMO is a soundtrack extra. Neither adds playable romance or sex scenes.
What does the base game cost, and is nudity a paid unlock?
At the October 2026 check, the regular US Steam price was $14.99. Partial nudity is included in the base game and requires no paid adult unlock. Optional DLC is sold separately.
Which platforms and languages does Steam list?
Steam lists Windows, macOS and Linux, with English, Spanish and Russian text. Later language plans and Season 2 features are outside this first-season package.
