Simon is a widowed war veteran pushed into wielding incubus power, with sex tied to his survival and his chance to change a broken world. His appeal rests on competence, care and experience. The women around him have careers, convictions and arguments of their own, and building a life together entails business and diplomacy as well as desire. The opening's crude names and RPG jokes can disguise how seriously the game eventually takes its horny premise.
Yarra, the succubus who encourages Simon to use his power, gives desire a welcome place in his life. Megail supplies the business sense their growing ambitions need. Attraction takes shape through work, disagreement and danger, while the women's conversations with one another give the harem a social life beyond Simon's attention. Being wanted feels convincing because the story gives them reasons to want him.
The people are sexier than the routine

Sex enters the story early. Some encounters move the plot forward; others depend on affection thresholds and a woman's circumstances. Returning to established partners lets preferences and relationships develop across scenes, while shared encounters and attraction between women give the harem a life of its own. The strongest moments make intimacy an expression of how someone has changed. Decisions about whom to help or pursue carry emotional weight as well as strategic consequences.
That scale has a cost. Too many relationships follow the same path from trauma or mistrust to Simon's reassurance. Later companions can struggle to earn their place, and his emotional support is not always returned with comparable care. Routine sex sometimes reduces a distinctive woman to another recipient of magical gratification. After a long stretch of governing, an encounter can feel like one more obligation. The cast keeps expanding even when its relationships would benefit from more attention.
Consent under magical pressure

Slavery, sexual violence and magical domination are substantial parts of this world. Simon's respect for other people gives the story its hopeful direction, yet powers that can alter desire put that respect under pressure. Varia's domination choices bring the problem into sharp focus: someone else can shape her agency. The game explores this tension, but sometimes settles it with reassurance where closer scrutiny is needed. Adoptive-family incest is part of the required story, too, so pursuing another lover does not let you avoid that relationship. These themes are central enough to affect whether you want to spend a long campaign with this cast.
Still art, substantial reading

Written scenes and still illustrations carry the erotic presentation; there is no sex animation or voice acting. Boobs and nudity are plentiful, but arousal depends heavily on enjoying the writing and caring about the cast. The scene art gives the women more presence than the modest pixel maps, and the soundtrack adds force to the adventure. Some affection scenes still lack illustrations. A completed story can therefore deliver a long-awaited encounter as text alone, leaving a meaningful moment without its picture.
Planning shapes the harem you live with

Megail's investment budget supports businesses, alliances and the institutions behind Simon's growing influence. Financial choices sit alongside political outcomes and relationships, making help for a woman matter well beyond the bedroom. Seeing those decisions bear fruit is satisfying. The hidden scores are harder to love: consequences may surface chapters later, and securing a desired result can require exhaustive conversations and a guide. Curiosity about the cast can slide into anxious bookkeeping.
Combat gives the companions practical identities. A four-person party can combine Hilstara's protection with Carina's healing, or use faster, aggressive characters to disable enemies. Visible, finite encounters prevent endless grinding and put weight on preparation and resource use. A tough battle can deepen attachment to the woman whose abilities make the plan work. It can also stall the story while you work out an enemy's weakness or revise the party. Reaching the stronger relationships means committing to the RPG as well as the sex.
The free game contains the payoff
The free public game includes the finished campaign, epilogue and postgame. The optional Complete Art Pack was listed at $19.99 in the US in October 2026, providing full-resolution files and unused or older artwork. Buying it supports the project and gives you an art collection; it does not unlock scenes, raise their in-game resolution or fill the game's unillustrated encounters. The campaign's substantial cost is your time: reading, fighting and living with the consequences of earlier decisions.
Verdict

The Last Sovereign deserves a strong recommendation. Its harem has friendships, ambitions and a place in a changing society, giving intimacy weight across a long campaign. The completed, free story is generous, and attachment to its companions can sustain a demanding RPG. Repetitive encounters, missing artwork and an overgrown cast blunt the erotic payoff, while hidden calculations test your patience. There is a satisfying fantasy here of being useful, trusted and desired. The game too often makes maintaining it feel like a second job.
