My Catgirl Maid Thinks She Runs the Place is a complete, free Windows game on Steam. The author’s itch page also offers Mac and Android files labeled Complete 1.0. The matching title does not establish identical updates, extras or ownership across stores. Choosing the store is part of choosing the edition.
Start with the machine you will use, then identify the release that includes the romance or sex you want. Platform icons are a quick guide; system requirements, download labels and adult-unlock instructions tell you whether you can use the offer. Check those details before paying.
Match the platform to the edition

Catgirl Maid’s Steam page lists Windows for a twelve-chapter romance with sex included in the base game. The separately sold Extra Fluffy DLC adds three alternate romantic stories. The Mac download on the author’s itch page does not establish that those Steam extras come with it, or that a Steam purchase gives you files from the other store.
Read the download label alongside the purchase description. Complete 1.0 identifies the author’s separate package; it does not promise every later update or entitlement to Steam DLC. A nearly identical title can conceal a demo, an earlier chapter or another edition. Check that the build contains the relationship and ending you want. A recognizable title and a familiar pair of boobs cannot answer that for you.
Start with a listed native release

Full Service lists Windows, macOS and Linux for its Steam desktop edition. The base game includes the adult encounters and after-stories, so its men and massage fantasy come without a separate adult-patch requirement. Optional flings with Doctor Ken and Rudolf Schwarz remain paid extras.
An expressly listed native release is the clearest starting point, but read its system requirements too. It does not guarantee support for every processor, graphics driver or operating-system version. Full Service’s separate paid Android release also needs its own content check: the desktop package’s later additions cannot be assumed to come with it. Compare the platform, included stories and extras together when judging the price.
Read the Mac warning beneath the icon

UncleNeighbor lists Mac support on Steam, alongside a warning that it is incompatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina and above. For someone using a modern Mac, that warning matters more than the icon. Check your macOS version before treating the listing as a usable purchase.
Apple states that Catalina and later macOS versions do not run 32-bit apps. That gives you a reason to scrutinize an older Mac listing, without proving that UncleNeighbor’s binary is 32-bit or that a recent update has repaired its compatibility. New achievements, display fixes and story additions are different claims from a supported Mac release. Look for a suitable build or a clear developer answer before giving the handsome cast your money.
Distinguish Linux ports from Proton reports

Hashihime’s original adult Steam release lists Windows. It includes uncensored sex, full Japanese voice acting and the complete novel; none of those content details establishes a native Linux release. A report of someone playing through compatibility software tells you about running the Windows build on their setup.
Valve describes Proton as a compatibility layer for running Windows games on Linux. It can open up useful options, but check reports for the game build, Linux setup and features tested. Reaching the title screen says little about whether voices, movies, saves and later illustrated scenes work. A native Linux release and a Windows build running through Proton can both be useful; be clear about which one you are relying on.
Check that the adult unlock fits your build

UncleNeighbor’s Steam adult-access instructions call for an external mahou.patch step. Access to the file and successful installation remain unverified. Before counting on its erotic gallery, check that the official unlock is available and intended for the exact platform and release you plan to use.
The Steam bases discussed here for Full Service and Catgirl Maid include sex, so they do not need that external step. When a patch is involved, launching the game only answers half the question: the adult extension must work too. A fan book or soundtrack will not supply missing sexual content. Follow the developer’s edition instructions, and treat someone else’s Windows patch experience cautiously if you are installing on a Mac.
Use a demo to test the reading experience

OBSCURA lists Windows, macOS and Linux and offers chapter one as a free demo. You can sample its text, controls and dark-romance atmosphere before buying. The paid release adds second chapters for all four men, but the romances remain unfinished and the sexual content is non-explicit. Do not buy it expecting completed romances or a porn collection.
Try the demo on the machine you will use for the paid game. Check text readability, sound and saves, as well as whether it launches. A demo cannot guarantee every later scene or the behavior of another store’s build, but it can show whether the interface suits you and the characters hold your interest. Settle the remaining platform and content questions for the edition you intend to play before paying.
Questions and answers
Does Windows support on Steam also mean Mac or Linux support?
No. Read the platform list and system requirements for that store edition. Hashihime’s original adult Steam release lists Windows; Full Service and OBSCURA list all three desktop platforms.
Do Catgirl Maid’s Steam and Mac editions include the same files and extras?
That is not established. Steam lists Windows, while the author’s itch page offers separate Mac and Android files labeled Complete 1.0. Matching titles do not establish cross-store ownership, matching updates or inclusion of Steam’s paid Extra Fluffy stories.
Can I rely on UncleNeighbor’s Mac icon for a modern Mac?
No. Its Steam page warns that it is incompatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina and above. Check that warning against your macOS version; operation on a current Mac remains unverified.
Is Proton support the same as a native Linux release?
No. Proton runs Windows games on Linux through a compatibility layer. Look for reports that name the build and setup and test the features you need, including sound, movies and saves, beyond the title screen.
Which of these games need a separate adult patch?
The Steam bases discussed here for Full Service, Catgirl Maid and the original Hashihime release include sex. UncleNeighbor’s instructions call for an external mahou.patch unlock; file access and installation remain unverified. OBSCURA’s released sexual content is non-explicit.
What can OBSCURA’s free demo tell me before I buy?
Chapter one lets you sample the story and interface and check how the demo runs on your machine. The paid game has two chapters for each of four men and remains unfinished. The demo cannot guarantee that every later scene or another store’s build will work on your setup.
