Whellcum's best fantasy is a village where male desire needs no explanation. A woodsman can supply crafting materials, flirt outrageously and have a history worth hearing. That combination gives Robin Morningwood an erotic identity built around men with lives beyond the next unlock. Its gay community has room for casual sex and attachment.
Getting closer to those men often means earning more money, improving your equipment or repeating a familiar minigame. The game builds attraction well, then makes desire wait while you finish the chores. That rhythm is its biggest weakness.
A village worth wanting
The bara art uses muscular men, softer builds and fantasy characters such as orcs. Expressive cartoon exaggeration suits the campy world. Shared proportions and recurring enemy designs limit the visual variety, though. The cast is easier to distinguish through personality than through radically different body shapes.
Gregor's woodsman bravado becomes more interesting when he talks about shame. Valdo's unwanted betrothal gives him a history beyond his interest in Robin. Conversations between villagers also make Whellcum feel inhabited, with lives that extend past the next encounter. Affinity progression still sets milestones for relationships, and the romances vary in depth, but the writing lets casual sex and emotional attachment coexist. The strongest fantasy here is belonging somewhere that welcomes your desire.
Animated sex, with limited control over the scene

The animated 2D sex and illustrated scenes have the same playful cartoon energy as the cast. Character expression helps give the porn personality, and the style suits the men. Collecting underwear lets you replay erotic memories, giving souvenir hunting a suitably ridiculous hook. A reward can be a reminder of a relationship or simply another piece of porn to collect; the game makes room for both motives.
Dialogue is unvoiced. Sexual sounds give encounters more presence, but repeated vocal loops lose their impact over a long adventure, leaving the art and writing to carry much of the chemistry. Choosing a top, bottom or versatile role does not make every later scene follow that preference, either. There is more freedom in pursuit and progression than in the sexual staging of each encounter. BDSM, voyeurism and other fetish themes broaden the content, while sex-as-combat makes some encounters about domination rather than tenderness.
The grind gets between you and the men
Battles turn arousal into a turn-based contest. An opponent's preferences, your techniques, equipment and a timed input all affect the result. It is a clever way to make sex part of the RPG's decisions. Work minigames test memory and reactions, while Strip Lucky adds a separate card-collecting diversion. Early on, these activities give the town and its men a lively range of things to do.
The resource demands soon send you back through the same routines. Rebuilding facilities opens more people and activities, but earning money, materials and affection repeatedly pulls you away from their stories. Better equipment and restorative items add preparation to the loop. Familiar battles can make the next sex scene feel like payment for a shift, and a horny animation cannot keep the same task fresh indefinitely. The minigames are more enjoyable to discover than to keep repeating for supplies.
New Game+ and free repairs help return visits. The repair option unlocks after finishing the game and applies to subsequent new games, so it offers no relief from the first run's resource demands. These conveniences make revisiting the cast easier once the long first journey is over.
A complete base game, with paid extras

The reviewed Steam base game is complete and includes explicit sex without a separate uncensor patch. Its regular US list price was $34.99 in October 2026. The village, character stories and animated encounters make a stronger case for that price than the hours spent gathering supplies. The reviewed 2.2.1 release follows an update adding optional Lovense haptic support; compatible hardware is a separate consideration.
Attack of the gay clones was $13.99 in October 2026 and begins after the base story is finished. Its new plot, characters and combat belong to a paid expansion outside this score. Behind the scenes, listed at $11.99 that month, is an illustrated guidebook. Neither purchase is required for the base game's adult content. Finish the original adventure before committing more money to its progression systems.
Verdict

Robin Morningwood's affectionate gay fantasy is worth the patience it asks, but that patience has to stretch through too many chores. Gregor, Valdo and the wider village give its animated sex personality and a sense of belonging. Repeated work, battles and affection targets keep delaying the payoff, while limited role adaptation narrows your control over it. The completed base game is an appealing, frustrating RPG with men worth getting to know. At its October 2026 US list price of $34.99, start with that adventure and let its pacing decide whether the expansion deserves another dollar.
