FLUX.1 [schnell] remains useful for fast local drafts, especially when a team already has a working pipeline to preserve. Its Apache 2.0 weights differ from dev's licensing, and its low-step design suits experiments and baseline comparisons. Newer models offer reference-editing options that schnell does not inherit, so approach it as an established generation tool. A portrait produced quickly still needs checks for silhouette, expression and export quality before it reaches a game. To make an older project easier to reproduce, archive the text encoders, VAE and workflow revision together.

Commercial use & license

Apache 2.0 weights; other components and hosted services have their own terms.

Adult content rules

BFL restricts unlawful content and realistic intimate depictions of real people without verified, documented and informed consent; hosted services apply their own filters and terms.
