Hunyuan3D-Part is worth evaluating when a promising mesh arrives as one fused object and you need separate components. P3-SAM identifies parts; X-Part reconstructs complete geometry for them, giving you candidates for doors, handles, equipment or accessories that may need to move independently. The public X-Part release is the light version, with the full version offered through Tencent's hosted studio. A part label does not supply a hinge, a collision shape or an animation rig. Reconstructed pieces may also drift from the original shape, so compare their fit against the source mesh before replacing anything. Expect to finish pivots, topology, materials and animation by hand.
Commercial use & license
Tencent Hunyuan 3D-Part Community License. Use, distribution and display of the model and its outputs exclude the EU, UK and South Korea. Licensees with more than 1 million monthly active users across their products and services in the month before its September 23, 2025 release need Tencent approval. AUP, distribution obligations and dependency terms also apply.
Adult content rules
Local use remains subject to the community license and its territorial exclusions, including outputs. The AUP prohibits unlawful use, harming minors and bypassing safeguards; it requires public AI-content disclosure and respect for regional social ethics and moral standards. Adult-content permission is not explicit. Hosted Studio uses separate service terms; the local license does not establish its adult-content permissions.
What you need
Both modules document Python 3.10, PyTorch 2.4.0+cu121 and CUDA 12.1 as their tested environment, plus Sonata dependencies. Supply a source mesh; Tencent recommends scanned or AI-generated meshes for X-Part. The documentation does not establish a universal consumer-GPU VRAM minimum.
