Meshy 6 Lite suits quick shape studies from text or a reference image. Its downloadable, untextured drafts let you compare silhouettes before spending credits on texturing, and Meshy recommends it for workflows moving from Meshy 5. A quick draft saves time only if you are willing to throw it away: reject weak candidates, then clean up the best base in your 3D editor. Image-to-3D generation is limited to 2K textures and lacks Ultra geometry. The Lite name promises neither fewer draw calls nor a character that bends well. Check materials, topology and deformation in your target engine, and budget for discarded generations as well as finishing.
Commercial use & license
Proprietary hosted service. Paid-plan output can be kept private, with ownership subject to applicable law and rights to the inputs. Free-plan output uses CC BY 4.0 with credit to Meshy; publishing output to the Meshy Community places it under CC0. These output licenses do not grant access to the model weights.
Adult content rules
Meshy's acceptable-use policy prohibits creating, uploading or sharing pornographic material. Its role here is limited to permitted non-explicit props, environments and clothed character references.
What you need
Browser access to a Meshy account; API workflows also need a Meshy API key and prepaid credits. Bring a text brief or reference image you have rights to use, plus a 3D editor for cleanup.
Ranks are recommendations for the task described, based on reviewed documentation. Model ranks cover non-explicit development work. We have not run practical benchmarks. Check content policies and commercial terms separately. How the ranks work →
