Meshy 7.1 is a practical candidate for turning approved prop or clothed-character references into 3D assets. Its image and multi-image APIs let you supply different views of the same design and guide the texture with reference images or a prompt. Pin meshy-7.1 and save your inputs and settings when consistency matters; latest can change. Meshy retains 7 as a deprecated API identifier. The web app and API differ in documented support, particularly for text-to-3D, so choose your route before building a workflow around it. Inspect the exported silhouette, materials, topology, deformation and performance in your target game before accepting an asset. Generation quality and cleanup time remain unbenchmarked here.
Commercial use & license
Proprietary hosted model. Meshy states that paid-plan assets remain privately owned if your inputs respect others' copyrights and you do not publish the assets to the Meshy Community. Free-plan output uses CC BY 4.0. That output license does not include the model weights.
Adult content rules
Meshy prohibits creating, uploading or sharing pornographic material. For adult-game work, consider it for non-explicit props, environments and clothed character references that meet its policy.
What you need
Meshy account; a plan with API-key access and credits for API use; reference assets you have rights to use; a 3D editor such as Blender for inspection and cleanup.
Ranks are recommendations for the task described, based on reviewed documentation. Model ranks cover non-explicit development work. We have not run practical benchmarks. Check content policies and commercial terms separately. How the ranks work →
