Qwen’s hosted family is worth comparing when you need image generation and reference editing through one service. Model Studio offers Qwen-Image-3.0, 3.0 Pro and 2.1 Pro, separate from the downloadable Qwen 2.1 checkpoint. The practical choice is how many references you need: the 3.0 series accepts up to three, while 2.1 Pro accepts ten and can select transparent output from the prompt. OpenAI-compatible access uses extra fields and supports neither multipart edits nor masks. The A tier puts these models on the shortlist for permitted asset work. Test character consistency on the exact endpoint and region you plan to use; compare actual results before paying for a newer version. Commercial rights follow the service terms, and permission to generate explicit adult content remains unverified.
Commercial use & license
Proprietary hosted model governed by the selected Model Studio agreement and output terms. Do not assume the Apache license offered with downloadable weights applies to hosted use.
Adult content rules
Permission to generate explicit adult content is unverified. Check the selected service agreement and moderation rules before using it in production.
What you need
Model Studio access in a supported region, a matching regional endpoint, and permission to use submitted reference images.
Ranks are recommendations for the task described, based on reviewed documentation. Model ranks cover non-explicit development work. We have not run practical benchmarks. Check content policies and commercial terms separately. How the ranks work →
