Gen-4.5 is a strong choice for short trailer shots that need ProRes, image sequences or HDR for finishing. Text and image inputs let you build a shot from a brief or animate approved artwork. For an adult game, its useful territory is non-explicit atmosphere, transitions and carefully reviewed character moments alongside genuine gameplay footage. Check every generated shot for anatomy, character continuity and fidelity to the game's art direction before it reaches the timeline. Better export formats give an editor room to work, but they cannot rescue a broken pose or a trailer that promises mechanics the game doesn't have.
Commercial use & license
Proprietary hosted model governed by Runway's service terms. Its commercial-use guidance permits commercial use of generated content; no license for downloadable model weights is established.
Adult content rules
Runway's hosted service prohibits adult nudity and sexually explicit content. It also limits some sexually suggestive content, including underwear or lingerie.
What you need
Use a funded Runway Dev project and API key, with model gen4.5. Set outputFormat to mp4, prores or png_sequence for SDR delivery; native HDR requires a dedicated HDR outputFormat.
