Tripo combines hosted reference-to-mesh generation with separate texturing, segmentation and rigging steps, giving teams useful control over an asset's processing history. The JavaScript SDK lists v3.1-20260211 as its default high-quality version and v3.0-20250812 as another supported option. Pin one for a production batch and record the requested stages alongside the original outputs. These services are distinct from the downloadable TripoSR and TripoSG research releases. An automatic rig still needs a deformation check: attaching a skeleton does not settle how a character bends. Mesh quality and performance within your game's asset budgets also need validation before a generated model reaches production.
Commercial use & license
Proprietary hosted generation. Tripo's official help grants paid users commercial output rights under its terms; free users are not granted those rights. API contracts may differ. The SDK's MIT license covers client code, not hosted model weights.
Adult content rules
Tripo's terms prohibit obscene, offensive and unlawful inputs. Permission for adult production is unverified; this recommendation covers permitted non-explicit assets.
What you need
Tripo account and, for API use, a Tripo API key. The JavaScript SDK supports Node.js 18+ and other documented runtimes. Pin the version and save original outputs; plan-specific access is unverified.
Ranks are recommendations for the task described, based on reviewed documentation. Model ranks cover non-explicit development work. We have not run practical benchmarks. Check content policies and commercial terms separately. How the ranks work →
