FLUX.2 [dev] gives teams downloadable weights and control over inference and adaptation. Consider it when local deployment or fine-tuning solves a concrete production problem and you have secured the necessary license. Compare it with the hosted family on your actual brief, including multi-reference edits and the time spent correcting results. Its A tier reflects the value of that specialized workflow. The license allows commercial use of outputs under conditions. Commercial or production use of the model needs separate authorization, and outputs cannot be used to train competing models.
Commercial use & license
Open weights under the FLUX Non-Commercial License. Commercial or production operation and commercial fine-tuning require separate terms, even though the license permits commercial use of outputs under its stated conditions.
Adult content rules
BFL restricts unlawful content and non-consensual intimate images of real people; hosted providers add their own filters and terms.
What you need
A compatible GPU runtime, model components and storage; measure memory use with your chosen workflow.
Ranks are recommendations for the task described, based on reviewed documentation. Model ranks cover non-explicit development work. We have not run practical benchmarks. Check content policies and commercial terms separately. How the ranks work →
