HiDream-I1 makes most sense for a team with an existing HiDream workflow or a specific reason to evaluate it. Full generates images from text, Dev and Fast are distilled generation variants, and the related E1.1 model edits an existing image from instructions. Local weights leave room for experimentation, but the pipeline brings several components to install and license. MIT covers the HiDream transformers; the VAE and text encoders have separate terms, including Llama's. For character assets, assess consistency across poses and how much correction each image needs. Publisher benchmark scores leave those production questions open.
Commercial use & license
HiDream transformers use MIT. The official cards require compliance with the separate VAE and text-encoder licenses, including the Llama 3.1 Community License.
Adult content rules
The model cards do not establish whether explicit adult content is permitted; local execution does not resolve rights or any hosted provider's terms.
What you need
The official setup uses CUDA, Flash Attention and the HiDream transformer, VAE and text encoders; CUDA 12.4 is recommended for manual installation. E1.1 also calls for current Diffusers. Automatic Llama downloads require license acceptance and Hugging Face login. Allow storage for all components and measure memory for your chosen workflow.
Ranks are recommendations for the task described, based on reviewed documentation. Model ranks cover non-explicit development work. We have not run practical benchmarks. Check content policies and commercial terms separately. How the ranks work →
