Qwen-Image-2512 is a useful candidate for local background art, realistic materials and images containing text. Its downloadable text-to-image weights use Apache 2.0; Qwen-Image-Edit-2511 is a separate editing release, while the newer Qwen-Image-2.1 uses a Research License. Its A tier reflects the documented workflow and accessible weight terms. Memory use, loading time and correction work still need testing in your setup. For a character-heavy game, choose an editing or conditioning workflow alongside initial generation. Qwen documents improved text rendering, but menus, localization and accessibility text should stay editable in your engine or design files.
Commercial use & license
Apache 2.0 for these weights; check component and provider terms separately.
Adult content rules
The model card does not establish permission for explicit content. Running locally leaves rights and any provider terms to resolve.
What you need
Recommended local setup: a compatible GPU runner, model components and enough storage. Measure memory use before a production batch.
