Krea 2 offers two useful routes for developing a game's visual style. The downloadable RAW checkpoint is an undistilled base for LoRA training; Krea recommends applying those adapters to Turbo for faster generation. Check that transfer on your own character and environment assets before committing to the workflow. Hosted Medium and Large support style references and moodboards for concept exploration, with separate workflows and terms from the local weights. The weights use a custom Community License with a company-wide revenue limit for commercial use. Reference-image rights and permission for explicit imagery still need checking.

Commercial use & license

Krea 2 Community License: commercial use only below $1M total company-wide trailing annual revenue, including affiliates; at/above threshold requires enterprise terms.

Adult content rules

Permission to generate explicit imagery is unverified. Running locally still leaves the model license, reference rights and any provider terms to check.

What you need

For RAW/Turbo, the official runtime uses Python 3.12+, a compatible CUDA GPU and storage for the checkpoint, text encoder and VAE. Measure VRAM for the chosen workflow. Hosted Medium/Large require API credentials from Krea or a supporting provider.

Ranks are recommendations for the task described, based on reviewed documentation. Model ranks cover non-explicit development work. We have not run practical benchmarks. Check content policies and commercial terms separately. How the ranks work →
