TRELLIS.2 is a promising local route from a single image to a mesh with PBR materials. Its O-Voxel representation supports open surfaces such as clothing and leaves, non-manifold geometry and enclosed structures. The released 4B checkpoint and inference code suit a team comfortable maintaining Linux/CUDA dependencies. Budget time for cleanup: raw meshes can have small holes, and a good render says little about collision or deformation. GLB exports also need manual material setup to show transparency. The documented NVIDIA rendering dependencies restrict their use to noncommercial research or evaluation. Published timings use H100 hardware; this catalog has not reproduced its speed or visual quality.
Commercial use & license
Model and code are MIT. The documented installer uses nvdiffrast v0.4.0 and the nvdiffrec renderutils branch, whose NVIDIA licenses restrict use to noncommercial research/evaluation. Other dependencies have separate terms.
Adult content rules
MIT does not establish rights to reference images, likenesses or third-party assets. The documented nvdiffrast and nvdiffrec dependencies restrict use to noncommercial research/evaluation. Check other dependencies and any hosted service terms; no blanket permission for adult assets is claimed.
What you need
Official setup is tested only on Linux and specifies an NVIDIA GPU with at least 24 GB VRAM plus the CUDA Toolkit (12.4 recommended). Published timings use H100.
Ranks are recommendations for the task described, based on reviewed documentation. Model ranks cover non-explicit development work. We have not run practical benchmarks. Check content policies and commercial terms separately. How the ranks work →
