SPAR3D's useful trick is an editable point cloud between the reference image and the reconstructed mesh. Built on Stable Fast 3D, it offers a way to steer the shape of surfaces hidden from view. That makes it worth considering when the front looks plausible but the back needs correction. The local demo supports point edits; the finished asset still needs topology, material and collision checks before game use. Stability's license incorporates an AUP that prohibits sexually explicit content, including locally. For adult studios, consider it for permitted non-explicit assets, with that content boundary built into the workflow.

Commercial use & license

Stability AI Community License (July 5, 2024), incorporating the current AUP. Commercial use requires registration; the license terminates above US$1M in annual revenue for you and affiliates, individually or combined, regardless of its source, and a separate license is required. Redistribution carries license and attribution duties; check helper-component terms separately. Confirm eligibility at exactly US$1 million, where introductory and model-card wording conflict.

Adult content rules

Stability AI's current AUP prohibits sexually explicit content, including content relating to sexual acts. SPAR3D's license incorporates that policy for local use as well as hosted use. The recommendation covers permitted non-explicit work.

What you need

The README reports 10.5 GB VRAM, or roughly 7 GB in slower low-memory mode; its manual-inference section separately reports about 6 GB for a default single image. These figures are untested here. Windows needs Visual Studio 2022 and matching PyTorch/CUDA. Apple silicon needs macOS 15.2+ and MPS fallback, with CPU recommended below 32 GB unified memory. Both ports are experimental.

Ranks are recommendations for the task described, based on reviewed documentation. Model ranks cover non-explicit development work. We have not run practical benchmarks. Check content policies and commercial terms separately. How the ranks work →
